Capt. Manohar Mahajan (Chair, Board of Director)
Capt. Manohar Mahajan was born in Pune, India where after completion of high school studies he joined the Indian Merchant Navy. During his tenure in the Merchant Navy he pursued higher studies in India and finally in Scotland he received the highest education in his – Extra Masters with Prince Philip Charles Medal for topping all over the United Kingdom. He also gained membership to prestigious Institutes of the United Kingdom such as Nautical Institute and The Chartered Institute of Transport. In his professional career Capt. Mahajan rose from being a Cadet on board ships to a ship Captain, and finally a shipowner. He is presently operating and managing his shipping company established some thirty years ago. He has served as a President of SCOF (Samunder Club of Florida Inc. – an organization of the merchant marine officers of Indian Origin in south Florida). Capt. Mahajan, after travelling all of the world, arrived and settled in Miami in 1986. In Miami he pursued MBA degree at the University of Miami, which he completed with a Salutatorian award and was subsequently inducted into the honor society Beta Gamma Sigma. Since 1989 Capt. Mahajan has been actively involved with the Indian Community in South Florida. He and his wife Sarita are the founders of Florida Indo-Cultural Society Inc., an organization founded for the propagation of Indian culture in the area, actively working since 1993. He is a Trustee Member of Miami Lakshmi Narayan Temple. He is also a founder of Shri. Ramchand & Smt. Prakash Devi Mahajan KVSCAA Scholarship Trust, a Trust to award scholarships to excelling as well as financially needy students in India. Capt. Mahajan is actively involved in charity work in Miami and in India through his Rotary Club Miami Airport, where he served as President for two terms and has been the Foundation Chairperson since. Under his leadership several Rotary Global Grants were executed in India to help poor children, farmers, hospital dealing with Covid, dialysis center, mobile blood donation, and children with congenital heart diseases. Manohar Mahajan is passionate about learning and sharing the values and principles of Sanatana Dharma by furthering the vision and mission of IHU.

Dr. S.T. Rajan
Dr.S.T.Rajan (76 yrs) was born in India in Karnataka, brought up in Tamilnadu and is a resident of Bhavnagar in Gujarat for the last 44 yrs. He speaks English, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and Gujarati. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Madras University in Tamilnadu, earned his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur in West Bengal, and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from the Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU). He is a U.S. Fulbright Scholar, a Member of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES), Germany. He specializes in High Temperature Solar Thermal Energy and Sustainable Technologies for Remote and Rural Area Development. Currently, he is a Director and a Dean at the International Hindu University, Florida. USA. He is offering a course in Research Methodology, jointly with Dr.Sunitha Ranjan, for aspiring PhD scholars. He was recently awarded the title of “Kailash Ratna” by the Kailash Charitable Trust of Bhavnagar in Gujarat, recognizing and appreciating his five decades of Research, Academic, and Social Services. Dr.S.T.Rajan’s 50+ years of services as a Researcher, Professor and Mentor spans his previous positions too, as a Deputy Director, CSIR-Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar; Visiting Professor at Marine Science Department, Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar; Master of Technology Degree Project Guide at the M.S.University, Vadodara, Adjunct Professor at the Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar; Principal of Om Shanti Engineering College, Rajkot; Director of Dr Subhash Technical Campus, Junagadh; PhD guide at Shri JJT University, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan for three professors; Visiting Scientist, Uzbek Academy of Sciences, Tashkent in the Republic of Uzbekistan; Visiting Scientist in the Energy Department of the University of Houston, Texas USA and as a Faculty at the Sambalpur University, Sambalpur in Odisha, India. He has published 9 papers in international journals, presented 19 papers at international and national conferences, and holds two patents. Dr.Rajan’s deep interests and familiarity relate to Sanatan Dharma, Yoga, Vastu Shastra, Acupressure, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, and Tamil Siddha Therapy.

Dr. Shraddha Modi
Ms Shraddha Manoj Modi (Dr.) is an academician, A Gold Medalist, author, soft-skill trainer and a proprietor. She has her PhD, MA and BA in Sanskrit (Vedanta). Ever since 2011 she is into teaching Asia Languages like Hindi, Sanskritam other soft skill courses to more than 500 UG PG students annually Nationally & Internationally. She is a PhD student of Shri Atul B. Unagar & She is also a proprietor of पूर्णमिदम् [Purnamidam] The Academy of Humanities, Arts, and Languages. Along with her parents Sunita M Modi and Manoj H Modi she is a part of swadhyay parivar pioneered by Pujya Pandurang Shashtri Athavie (Dadaji).

Dr. Abhijit Pandya
Dr. A.S. Pandya is a professor at the Computer Science and Engineering Department, Florida Atlantic University (FAU). During his 40 years of academic career he has been involved in cross-disciplinary research involving, brain science, medical sciences, engineering and computer science. He is also a patent-winning inventor with experience in both industry and university settings. He has received over $7 million in research funding over the last two decades from NSF, IBM, Motorola etc. His main research focus is AI/ML, VLSI systems and Robotics and he is credited with writing the first textbook in the area of Neural networks entitled “Pattern Recognition with Neural Networks in C++” IEEE press (1995). Dr. Pandya received his undergraduate education at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Syracuse University, New York.

Shri Gupta has a Bachelors in Technology from IIT Kanpur, a Masters in Engineering from University of Maine and a PhD from Cornell in Engineering in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. He has lived and worked in many countries including India, Ireland, UK, Mexico and US. His career has taken him many paths such as high tech research, teaching and electronics manufacturing. Professionally at present, he is a six sigma consultant certified as DFSS(Design for Six Sigma) and DMAIC Black Belt by Motorola Inc with extensive experience in mentoring and teaching at national and international levels. Shri Gupta has been living in South Florida since 2000 and is a regular participant in service and meditation activities. Meditation and yoga have been his passion for the last 30 years. He has come in contact with great yoga masters and masters of alternative natural therapies and learned quite a bit from them. He has also conducted workshops and extensively practiced the chinese self healing technique of paida lajin in the last two years in addition to naturopathy. Sharing his experiences with the rest of the community is his passion.
